Myanma Timber Enterprise (MTE) is a state economic enterprise under the Ministry of Forestry that is responsible for extracting, milling and marketing (domestic and export) of teak and non-teak hardwoods. It is the only state organisation that is authorised to extract timber from the forests and export either as logs or as rough sawn timber.

Sawn Timber
Sawn teak is available according to the ruling prices at the time of making enquiries. Enquiries can be sent to General Manager (Export) and they will be considered according to availability, committed balance, etc., and offers will be made accordingly. Booklets on current prices can be purchased at MTE. It should be studied before placing orders. We shall not be responsible for your commitments entered into without our prior agreement.
Buyers are required to open Earnest Money LC for Euro€ 15000 to avoid failure to place vessel or take delivery of the cargo.

Teak Logs and Hardwood Logs
|

All logs are sold by tender. Therefore, those wishing to buy teak and hardwood logs are advised to look up the announcements in the daily newspapers. Prices are per Hoppus ton FOB or 1.8 cubic metres FOB.
